Suzuki’s new generation DF9.9 4-stroke is preparing to take the Canadian small outboard market by storm, setting new standards for ease of use, portability, and economical operation with its innovative multi-function tiller handle, lightweight design, and fuel-efficient operation. Suzuki has completely redesigned the DF9.9 giving it an all-new 208cm3 OHC 4-stroke engine for 2010.

With its smaller overall profile, and a weight of just 87 pounds for the manual start/short shaft model, the new DF9.9A is about 4.5kg/10lbs lighter than Suzuki’s previous 9.9- horsepower 4-stroke. Together, these features make Suzuki’s new DF9.9A easier to carry, easier to load and easier to fit on a wide variety of small boats. And when it comes to portable outboard power, easier is always better.

Suzuki’s proven Digital CDI ignition system enhances the low to mid-range fuel efficiency of these new outboards, while delivering smooth idling and instant response to the throttle.

The DF9.9 horsepower 4-stroke was specially designed for the fisherman in mind. If the fish aren't biting, pick up and run to the next hot spot. When you get there, plenty of torque and a 2.08:1 gear ratio deliver efficient and reliable low-speed trolling for a range of heavy fishing boats.

Lightweight and Compact Designs

Suzuki engineers have designed a lighter, more compact DF9.9 that weighs up to 4.5kg/10lbs less than the original DF9.9. This offer users greater ease in handling.

Multi-Function Tiller Handle

This innovative design by Suzuki provides users with a stress free boating experience. Gear shift, throttle operation, and throttle friction adjustment functions are all incorporated into the multi-function handle where they are easily accomplished without having to remove your hand from the handle.

Fuel Efficiency

Greater fuel efficiency enables the new DF9.9 outboard to go further while burning less fuel.
